Club R.U.B. have changed venue for Medical Emergency Room this coming Saturday.

The new venue details have been released today.

Didn't this also happen in the March of last year, turning a Medical Emergency into a drama? The change now seems to be permanent.

For those who have missed the news Christine Bleakley, of The One Show, has waterskied across the channel to raise money for Sport Relief.

The Sport Relief programme will be on BBC1 tomorrow night, so I'll have to miss it.

You can still donate a fiver by texting 'Ski' to 70005. Or if you don't trust phone numbers from dodgy websites (I don't!) there is also the Sport Relief website.

Surely the sight of Christine dressed from head-to-toe in rubber is worth a fiver of anybody's money!

Lady Gaga & Madonna had a girly scrap on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. As you can see from the still, Gaga dressed . . . which made a nice change. Notice anything odd about Madonna (apart from being dressed like a woman of less than half her income)?

Why is she wearing suspenders over tights?

More comfortable than wearing them under, I suppose.

Something Wicked this way Dumbs

The other day a friend gave me a pair of dodgy DVDs by Wicked Planet. I forget the titles.

It listed on the cover "Special Features: *Animated Menus *Chapter Selections", which seems pretty lame. Is 'old hat' really even a feature these days, never mind special?

It goes on "*2 Full Length Films On 2 Separate Discs Combined Running Time 2 Hours Approx". I don't suppose I would've been more impressed by two films on one disc, since two hours is the native time of DVD, but somehow I'm still not sold on these 'features'.

There's more: "*Languages: English". Never really thought of English as languages. Region 1 accents on a region 2 disc, perhaps? Didn't Oscar Wilde describe England and America as two regions divided by a common language?

And finally "*Aspect Ratio: Full Screen". Doesn't really mean much - what if your full screen aspect ratio is different to mine: which one will you get?

I did skip through one disc at speed (hooray for chapter selections!). It seemed to be written by the guy who wrote the blurb on the cover, so I gave them back.

I'll stick to good old Science Fiction, Double Feature.

Burnt out

Jings! I thought that The Firm's Burns night party was a bit late this year, but Club Rub's Kool Kilts, Tartan and Highland Flings falls over the cusp of Pisces on the 21^st.

In their newsletter they observe that "Primark has some really cute red frilly tartan panties". And at under two quid a pair, who says that fetish themes need to be expensive?

They're a bit under-strength for the fellas - but they shouldn't be wearing anything under the kilt anyway!

A friend had already mentioned them - that's twice that tartan has been spotted!
